Dr Elva Corkery
MB BCh BAO DRCOG DCH MRCGP MICGP MRCPI HDip in Dermatology
I am a native of Cork City and a graduate of University College Cork.
I started my training in Cork and then travelled to Cambridge, UK where I spent three years in formal General Practice training in Obstretrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, General Medicine, Rheumatology and Rehabilitation, Care of the Elderly and finally in a busy practice on the outskirts of Cambridge.
I returned to Ireland and continued to work in General Practice for a time before returning to further hospital training and experience in Accident and Emergency, Palliative Medicine/Hospice Care and Dermatology.
I returned to Cork in 2007 with a wealth of experience in all these specialties to continue my journey in General Practice. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to work with GP colleagues and practice nurses in a number of practices in Cork before commencing in my own very established practice.
